Nacho chips. It started mid-day when I started buckling under the stress and exhaustion at work. I had a 1 oz. bag of hot potato chips. I swear, it was like sugar in that I just wanted more.
Came home and had chili chicken for dinner and somehow that evil bag of nacho/tortilla chips was opened and 1/2 consumed. The band does not stop stupidity. Adding water to the bag to soak the chips so that they were inedible stops the stupidity.
Logged the evil. Went to bed for a nap and now I'm up. 10 minutes will bring a new day and the gym bag is packed.

I thought of you over the weekend when I was eating some cheez-its (it was a 100 calorie pack)...I love the idea of watering down the chips - that is brilliant!!
ReplyDeleteNever thought of adding water to the bag of chips to make them less appealing haha!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant idea with the water!
ReplyDeleteYou know what? Huge NSV here girl, pulling the reins up tight and soaking those chips to prevent any further damage. I applaud!
ReplyDeleteSo thrilled too that your gym bag is packed. Cannot wait to hear about your workout!
Good Idea! I have to use that idea. How have you been?
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've got an idea of why it happened and how to end it... loved the tips. Have had to have my husband put junk in the car before. Or never bring it into the house if its crap he wants to eat. Otherwise, as my 1-year old says, "uh-oh!"
ReplyDeleteway to stay accountable and recognize it girl - we all need that!
ReplyDeletei react the same way to sugar/carbs. once i have a little taste my body just freaks out and craves tons more!
'adding water to the bag'....pretty dang smart. Hey, it could be worse....somehow.
ReplyDeleteI indulged with some crumblies at the bottom of the tortilla chip bag last night and found myself hunched over stroking the bag and whispering "my precious" to it before the end of the night. Chips be my WEAKNESS. That and PB&J sammiches.
ReplyDeleteI ate a few Goldfish crackers today and remembered your Cheese It obsession - I was thinking about you. :) Hang in there...and keep the water handy.
ReplyDeleteI've had to destroy food before so I wouldn't be tempted to eat it again.
