Starting over ... need help

I wonder if anyone even remembers me?  You know, the cheeze-it-aholic who is in love with her fur-child, Coco and The Professor?  I feel like I fell off the wagon back in the beginning of the year and have struggled every since. Well, that about sums it up ... that's me :(

It's been almost a year since surgery and while I've lost weight (in the beginning)... it's not nearly enough.  The exercise stopped and so did the weight loss ...

I know I need to get to the doctor for a fill because there are times (many) that I can eat a lot of food.  I still know the band is there, however, because I do have 'issues'.

Has anyone ever had to start over (or know someone who has)?  Honestly, I don't know where to begin ...

I'm not all doom and gloom.  The Professor bought a boat ... and I love that too. :)

  1. Lots of us have to start over or re-start. It's OK, just take a deep breath and remember what you were doing before and how good it felt to lose. We're all rooting for you.

  2. I would think you would go back to the Basics and start meal/snack planning.

Solid protein first, veggies second, avoid starches
    Small portions
    Chew well
    Eat slowly
    No drinking while eating
    water, water, water
    and of course exercise!

  4. Of course we remember you Cece!! Until this week, I pretty much didn't lose anything for the whole of 2012 so far. It's really hard to accept - but you have and blogging again is a great first step. Definitely go back to the doc for a fill - don't be scared of judgement, it's not worth it. Forget the past 6 months and go back to the bandster rules we all started with. We're all here for you. Love x

  5. Who is this? Ha! Just kidding - totally remember you! I have had to re-start at least twice - the key is to start with liquids for two days at least if you can. Then just do a little better than you were doing and do not beat yourself up - thats how you get momentum rolling. You can do it! and nice boat!

  6. We're here. Of course we're here and you're not alone! Revisit the blogs you follow and you'll find MANY who have lost their way only to find it again. Those of us stuck battling the same 5 lbs over and over and over. Those who regained, lost bands, refilled, unfilled and rise above regardless of it all. And you can do it too! Welcome back (I hope you'll stick around)!

  7. A lot of us have had to re-start the journey. Just don't give up. I have had more than one re-start. This is what I do. I do 1 day of clear liquids, 1 day of full liquids, 1 day of mushies, 1 day of soft food...and then back to regular foods. But in doing so I MEASURE EVERYTHING.

    I hope this helps.

  8. I start over constantly! It's like a revolving door up in here!

And of course we remember you sweety!

Just make a plan. Stick with it. Easy peezy lemon squeezy. Now that I write that, I haven't been able to follow my own advice, so take it for what it's worth.

But if you make up your mind for a re-do, that's half the battle! And we'll be here to support you any way possible!

  9. I'm starting over today, actually. I've been doing terribly and gained some weight back, but I've decided to go to for a fill for the first time since February. I have an appt on the 19th and I'm scared of getting yelled at by my p.a., but I know that going in for a visit will hold me accountable for my actions and food choices. It's not too late (for either of us) to get back on track and use this tool the way it was intended. You'll get there, ma'am.

  10. Girlfriend, almost all of us have fallen off the wagon (HARD) in these journeys. That's the awesome thing about having the band (or any WLS), it helps you pick yourself back up! Get in for that fill and start logging again. We're all rooting for you!

  11. CECE!!! I was just thinking about you, gurl! I am so glad to see you posting again. You know what, just do it. Just decide you're going to start, and take it one day at a time. It's all about consistency. You know you can do this. Definitely get the fill, start logging your food, and POST! In two weeks, it's our 1 year anniversary - and we gonna party, baby! You can do this!!!!!!! HUGS!

  12. I know everyone has been down that road before. I bet once you get the fill and start a little exercise it will all turn around I've fallen off the wagon more than a few times. I think if you haven't it would be odd!!! Good luck with all you are doing for yourself!
