So ... it finally happened ...

And here I thought I'd be writing about W-m*rt, Grocery Store, L*wes, visit with parents, massage, bank, gas station, library and bank again but no .... it finally happened.

I've been struggling for a week now trying to eat some food (my stomach is growling) but (of course), not that much.  I'm one of *those* people who can not eat and simply not lose (sooooooo frustrating).  This ol' body has a memory like an elephant and will go into starvation mode in no time flat.  (I'm reminded of when I first got banded, was eating 500-600 cals and not losing !)

I made a divine grilled chz and bacon sandwich for lunch but this memory wanted more food.  Ok, I'll wait 45 mins and see.  Tick tock.  Still hungry.  Went into pre-band mode: ate too much junk, too fast and laid down (Coco and I have a standing Saturday afternoon nap). Then I started to feel weird.  Slime. Burp. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Up and into the bathroom.  Repeat.  I actually did toss a tiny bit.  All the while, Coco was sitting like a princess-croissant on my bed, waiting for me to return.

Woke up. Called Professor - "do not count on me eating much tonight" (as I don't really feel that good (I am typing and sipping water).

I feel like I'm a bit hung-over.  Oh, wait - that's just college football on tv.  I told you my body has a memory of it's own.

  1. I view the PB as its own form of aversion therapy. Eventually, I will stop doing the things that make me PB-- and for the most part I have. Although, sometime they just sneak up when you least expect them. I would say "Congrats" but I think that"s not really appropriate??? *shoulder shrug*

  2. So sorry about the slime and PB darlin. I've only had one and to this day I'm still not sure why it happened. Not fun.

  7. I had some slime myself yesterday at my BFF's house with others around who have no idea bout my band. I made like I had to use the bathroom and quickly went into hiding... I know they all think I was doing a number 2, but who cares :-)

  9. Ugh...well, on the bright side, maybe the negative reinforcement will burn a lasting memory into your brain? At least that's what I tell myself every time it happens to me.
