I'm going to try and repeat last Saturday (minus dead-flat tire) and go to the library, have a friend over for coffee and go find a belt. The best laid plans ...
Oh, and I'm eating like a normal person again. I had my first fill back on Friday, 9/8. (2 of the original 3 ccs leaked out - I think the word was absorbed; they added 3 for a total of 4 ccs) I haven't really felt 'restriction' but had read that sometimes it takes a few days. Yes, if I ate too fast (note, I never ate to fast while on LOA from work), I felt uncomfy for a bit - but no real restriction to speak of. I wanted to go for a fill last Saturday - due to car probs - did not happen.
I called the surgeon this week for an appointment. They recommended an UNFILL due to my flight to Europe. Oh, no ... not with only 4 in me and I'm not feeling restriction. I made an appointment for when I return as I want to get in a fill before I have to start paying for them. Poof !! On the bright side, I suppose, that I should not have any probs while in Deutschland.
Grocery shop, manicure, return shelf to Lowe's meatloaf, mash potatoes, peanut butter cookies, laundry, nap with the fur-child ... I am living the dream.

Do they think you will tighten up in flight? Why the unfill?I flew recently and had no problem but was only a 2 hour flight..You must be getting excited about your trip!!:)
ReplyDeleteGosh that's kinda the pits to get a fill and then have to have an unfill so soon.
ReplyDeleteI've flown once since I've been banded and there was no difference for me.
Have a good day running around. :)
yay for to-do lists - they are my best friend. boo on an unfill...but being too tight would be crappy. I too am living the dream - slept in, napped, and am shortly going back to bed...that IS the dream!!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they want you to have some fill removed because of the long distance you will be flying or because you are flying in General. I'm flying from Maine to Florida in February and it is only 3 hours....
ReplyDeleteENJOY your day!
An unfill seems a bit over the top- especially given how little you have in the band- doesn't it? Just be careful. Don't eat a steak before you fly and don't eat anything thick or heavy on the plane or when you land! You will be fine:)
ReplyDeleteI agree that the advice for unfill seems unwarranted. I can see them not wanting to give you a fill so close to your trip but an unfil is unnecessary.
