Did I say I was going to cook? LOL !!
That didn't take long ... 3 days into "Post Daily in November" and I don't post ... oh well ...
Had a bit of a revelation yesterday. I knew thought that Professor and I were going to have a 'meal' last evening of awesome cheese, wine and a chicken curry. In the past, I would have starved myself all day but it occurred to me - with the band - you simply eat what you can eat. Not eating at lunch means nothing for dinner. The band can only hold what the band can hold. I know this is a basic of bandsters so I had to laugh at myself with this 'hit' me :)
Wine - yes.
Cheese - yes.
More wine - yes.
Two bottles - yes.
Chicken curry -- no.
So, I guess I can thank the band for not eating when I had (obviously) consumed quite a bit of wine (yep, I would probably say a bottle). A complete change from the past as I would have had the wine, the cheese, the more more and a full chicken curry dinner. Love the band.
yay for band love!
ReplyDeleteoh yeah, I LOVE this about the band...LOVE. That was the whole point of getting it for me - to be able to eat the things I like without eating till I burst. I think you did amazingly, super proud of you band twin!!
ReplyDeletedo you feel any different after drinking w/the band? I haven't had any since banding, and wasn't much of a drinker before...but I heard that it hits people harder after surgery. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteI'm still taken aback by this as well. It doesn't matter how hungry I am at the beginning of the meal, I'm still only going to eat what I can eat. Amazing contraption this band!
ReplyDeleteAhh, wine. That'd be my meal most nights if possible! :)
ReplyDeleteI am a wino. Sometimes if I drink a lot of wine then I can eat more!
ReplyDeleteBut I am totally fine with wine and cheese. That is my favorite meal! :)
Glad the band can let us enjoy some food, but doesn't let us go overboard.
ReplyDeleteIf only one could live on wine alone???!!!Love that band!!
