For someone who take pride in their ability to sleep like a rock - last night I did not get to sleep until at least 2:30am ! Must have been that bag of Costco potato chips in the kitchen calling my name. Oh wait, the bag was closed, thus unable to speak. I thought there could be caffeine in Mike's Hard Lime-aid but was informed by the Sweetie this morning that the Mike's products are more like sweetened beer products. Maybe that was it ... I haven't had a beer in ... forever ... well, since I became a red wine drinker. Anyone have any idea when I'll be able to have a little of the wino in my future?
I guess I could still have wino today but after my four hour nap with the fur-child I am discombobulated ! B'fast was Burger King b'fast sandwich and (oh, why not) tater tots. Talk about carbs ! No wonder I came home and passed out. Now, I'm up and simply don't feel that great. Nerves, I'm sure, are playing a part .... looks like the Last Lunch has passed ... I'll be back to report on dinner ...
I'm back ... after a faux apple pie I found in the cupboard and another nap ... man, I do not feel good at all. Drinking more water. I know what the deal is - no coffee. But this morning, I needed sleep more than I needed coffee and by the time I woke up - too late for coffee. I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine so I won't drink it after mid-morning .... oh well, I'm sure I'll live.
Still have to take out the garbage - the last rummage thru the kitchen tossing food. What, oh what will I have as my last real meal?

I had a drink about a month after I was banded, doc said it was just fine! You'll just have a much lower tolerancy. LOL
ReplyDeleteSchwew, just glad to know that I can still be a date. A cheap date, mind you, but a date !
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my blog.
ReplyDeleteIm a former wino also lol. I started drinking a glass right before bed when I jumped in our hot tub. A year later that little ritual helped put 30+ lbs back on. I havent had a sip since I was banded 54 days ago. I do miss it I will admit.
Good luck with your surgery :) see you on here soon :)
I just had my first drink last weekend. That was 4 weeks post-op for me. I only really had a few sips but I had no troubles with it.
ReplyDeleteoh...the last rummage through the pantry/fridge! Make it count! :o)
ReplyDeleteI know where you're coming from!! I made it my personal goal to make sure there were no more yummies left in my house before going to liquids!! We're going to do this!!
ReplyDeleteI am also a real wino-its winter here, and the red wine beckons.. I was about 2 weeks post op when I had a glass-and now 5 weeks postop I have a glass about 3 days a week- I use to have 2 glasses a night, every night, now I don't feel I need to have that extra. All my friends are in shock...
ReplyDeleteI didn't drink for a good while after, and was a complete light weight once I did start. I have built my tolerance back up, and now that the back to basics challenge has started I'm nixing all alcohol again! I hope you slept better last night!
