Six Million Dollar Man

Does anyone remember that show or am I just showing my age?

Last August, I purchased a BodyMedia Fit Thingee (that measures calories and steps).  Shortly after I started using it, I got sun poisoning on my arms and promptly forgot all about it.

My carpy medical insurance (yes, I'm thankful that I have it) requires that I join either Weight Watchers or their Walking Spree (pedometer) program due to my BMI over 30 or pay even more (copays, deductibles, etc) than I do now.  I chose the pedometer program so since mid-March I've been tethered to a pedometer to make sure I average 5000 steps a day. I put the darn thing on before I even leave my bed each morning :)

I've been reading about people's Fit-Bits and such and decided to find the Body Media Thing-a-ma-bob.  I am now wearing a pedometer and the BodyMedia thingee attached to my arm and when I sleep - a CPAP machine.  Oh, where is that pageant entry form when I need it?

  1. Oh- Lee Majors. Yum.
If you are showing your age, so am I. I used to think he was the sexiest thing. Right up there with Magnum PI. Oh, Tom Selleck.
Jeez- I need to get out more.

  2. Do you still have to wear a pedometer along with your BodyMedia Fit Thingee? My Bodybugg counts steps too (so I figure yours might too)...would that work for your insurance? BTW. How do they even know you are even wearing the darn thing? That is crazy (I don't do 5,000 steps a day unless it's a Zumba day)!!

  4. Steve Austin. Astronaut. A man barely alive.
    Gentlemen, we can rebuild him.
    We have the technology.
We have the capability to make the world's first bionic man.
Steve Austin will be that man.
    Better than he was before.
    Better.
    Stronger.
    Faster
