Do you mean after being banded?? Um.. probably a couple of months in. I am a drinker. Not a heavy drinker. But it was something I was choosing not to give up!
Do you mean post-surgery? I started wine when I started mushies, so 10 days in. This also coincided with my husband flying in for Christmas. He and I love our wine and feel that life without wine is life not worth living. If we are talking about first glass ever, I was under 10, but I don't remember- though it was more likely champagne for a special occasion.
I had my first drink maybe 3-4 weeks after surgery. It was no big deal, just don't plan on drinking anywhere NEAR as much as you used to be able to tolerate. I had one appletini and was pretty much on the bar with my shirt off!
After surgery? just a couple of days ago actually, which is about 2.5 months post-op. I agree with Amanda. I'm not a heavy drinker, but NO alcohol EVER EVER AGAIN (as they pretty much told me) was not an option. :)
Hi I guess I misinterpreted the question-I was about 3 weeks out from banding and could only have half a glass to start with-unfortuneately thats not the case now,I wish!!!
Don't think less of me but I haven't tried a wine yet that I could stand to drink even a small glass of.
ReplyDeleteActually.. my first glass was last weekend at the wedding. I was drunk off of two glasses! Whoops.
ReplyDeleteI think I had my first glass of wine when I was 16 on a student exchange trip in Germany(I actually had 3 and threw up-dont tell my kids!)

ReplyDeleteI am with sarah, I am not a wine fan. I have only found one brand of mascoto that I can tolerate.
