Quiz - not really, but I can't think of the word

I have a Magic Bullet and really like it.  Do I need a little stick / hand blender?

I live alone and am always looking to save $.  Would a counter top electric oven be a good idea? I frequently think (when I go to warm something up on a stone) - what a waste of money turning this thing on.

Any suggestions would be appreciated !

  1. Check out the little hand mixer thing-a-ma-bob I found yesterday:

It's pretty cheap and fits in your purse. Of course, it could be junk. I'm still debating on whether or not I will get it...

We have a toaster oven that I used during the summer because there is NO WAY I'm turning on the oven in this heat!!! It's totally worth it!!

  2. I think that a toaster oven is a great idea... I would love to get one, but it's not exactly practical for a family of 5.

Also, a hand mixer might not be a bad idea, as long as you have a use for it other than mixing protein drinks at this stage.

  3. Ok I am going to come out on the other side of the argument. I hate counter clutter though so it might be affecting my opinion. Your days of blended foods will go fast so you bullet is probably just fine. As far as the toaster oven goes...toast is in the title and I no longer eat much of that :)..just kidding. You might like the toaster oven if you can cook single servings of some protein source in it (say a single piece of chicken or something) but I mainly use my microwave and stove top these days.

I just read back a few posts to catch up...the anesthesia haze will soon pass but keep up the good walking work! it will have you feeling great in no time.

  4. I agree with Tina. The blended food phase is quick. Probably not worth buying something new just for that.

  5. I love my Magic Bullet, too. My next investment is going to be a toaster oven. The other day I heated up the oven for FOUR chickenless nuggets - what a waste. I live in Phoenix, AZ, so I know what you mean about the heating up the place for something small. Glad to hear you're doing well. Didn't we tell ya it wasn't *that* bad? You're through the roughest part, congrats!! Amy
