It's Caturday

The fur-child is not going to be happy when her Mum goes back to "that place that gives Mum a paycheck".  Until then, Coco's Day Spa will be open for business.
I could not sleep last night so I ended up taking 1/2 of a Tylenol PM.  You would think that someone my size would not metabolize so quickly but I am out of it (so I must be desperate when I take one).  The point of this last sentence - I can't remember what this post was suppose to be about .

Ok. Just got back from getting more coffee.  Smelled the bacon (I bake it) and then remembered what I wanted to post about: FOOD.

I have not had my first fill.  I have been eating (I think) like a bandster and have lost some weight.   I am constantly looking for easy band-friendly food. Last night I 'made' the following:

Cece's  Peanut Butter Cup:
2 FF, SF fudgicles - melt in microwave (about 20 seconds)
2 TBL Better n Peanut Butter (add to the mush) - nuke a few more seconds
Stir
Eat with a teeny-tiny spoon

This is from South Beach Diet (of the 1000000000000 diets I was on - SB was my fav).

Then, this morning - an eggbeater omelette with feta and a piece of toast with 3 pieces of baked bacon (center cut).  LOVE IT !

One of the things I've noticed (and love) with the band is that by eating slowly - I actually taste and savor the food ... why did it take me 48 years on this planet to figure this out?  :)

  3. I had Egg Beaters this morning too! I added salsa, shredded cheese, turkey sausage, rotisserie chicken & garlic. I never liked eggs pre-band, but now they're an awesome breakfast. Scrambled it all up together and yuuuuuuuuuum. Sam's Club has Egg Beaters for crazy cheap, and I also got a big a$$ container of garlic! One teaspoon equals one garlic clove. Totally awesome because I can just spoon out what I want. Wahoooooooo. Have you noticed that you use spices a lot more post-band? I only had a few before, but now I'm learning that spicing stuff up really makes a difference :)

  6. isn't amazing how much better food tastes when you are actually trying to taste it :)

I'm glad to see that there is other people out there who love their pets as much as I love mine!

  7. I do agree with you about being able to taste the food...All along I kept saying that the reason I was fat was because I loved food but now I'm not so sure...how can you say you love food when you ate it so fast that you never really tasted it?

  8. YES! And you may find that your tastes change. For instance, I enjoy spicy food more now than I used and big, bold flavors. Cupcakes and ice cream don't do much for me anymore but I love creamy desserts and high quality chocolate. All big differences for me.
